At the top of this page there are links to all pages with alphabet patterns.You can also follow the links by clicking on the thumbnails below. The thumbnails don't give all the possibilities because on one page there could be up to six different alphabets: different in size, small letters and capitals.

Creation of the designs

Most of the designs are translations of font types you can find on a computer. There are thousands of them.They are translated in cross stitch with the add of a computer program, I wrote.
There are also a few new and traditional designs.

If you have a favorite font on your computer and you want to embroider something using that font then if you mail me the (full) name of that font I will put it on this site.

Using the patterns

All the patterns are placed in a 70x100 square grid. Printing these patterns, your computer, your printer and the program you use for printing are all involved. That's why I can't predict the result. Practically in all cases the result will be correct: the drawing will more or less fill an A4 page and the squares will be about two and a half millimeter. In practically all browsers, if you right click the picture you will get an option for printing. Always use the same method, because then you can combine not only all the alphabets but also practically all other designs on this site. Anyway, if you have problems, send me a message and i will try to help you.

After printing the patterns you can create a text by knitting and gluing. For that, you can make use of the grids. Almost all of the designs on this site have the same scale, so you can combine everything with everything.
